Four Seasons Resort and Residences Los Cabos at Costa Palmas

Mexico’s best-kept secret, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Los Cabos at Costa Palmas enables guests to unwind in beachfront luxury

The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Los Cabos at Costa Palmas embodies the luxury and quality that is synonymous with Four Seasons properties. At the same time, it invites its visitors to slowly exhale and immerse themselves in a sanctuary located far from the bustling crowds usually associated with Baja California in Mexico.

Located on the peninsula’s East Cape, between the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the Sea of Cortez, the resort is perfectly positioned for those yearning for a deeper connection to nature without having to compromise on creature comforts. It is easy to see why it is known as a “hidden gem”. “We offer a holistic escape here,” says Sandra Oliva, General Manager. “Your body, mind and spirit are all pampered because it’s so beautiful, and you feel that you are being taken care of from the moment you arrive. There are no crowds, there’s no noise, and it offers a real sense of escape.”

The resort has won numerous awards over the years, with 2025 being no exception. It was singled out in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2025, as well as being named one of the Top Resorts in Western Mexico in the Condé Nast Traveler 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. “The design of this hotel is so elegant,” says Sandra. “Everything has been curated, from the location to the choice of materials.”

Of the 141 guest rooms, many offer sweeping views of the ocean. For those seeking a more intimate stay with family and friends, nearly 30 spacious residences complete with private pools offer a bespoke personal paradise. Throughout the resort, raw natural beauty meets pure, refined elegance, with every detail – down to the smallest marble bathroom tile – carefully designed to induce tranquillity. Outside, a two-mile stretch of pristine beach invites visitors to forget that the rest of the world even exists. Whether dipping their toes in the clear turquoise sea or stretching out under the sun on the white sand, this secluded spot makes guests feel as if they are stumbling upon their own private island. “Even at 100-per-cent full, you don’t feel it, because there is so much space,” says Sandra. “It feels like you are visiting an undiscovered land – it’s yours and it’s private. Nature embraces you here. It’s unlike any other place, and it’s really very precious.”

Along the seascape that hugs the resort – once coined “the world’s aquarium” by the ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau – there are numerous activities on offer. The calm coastline is ideal for lazy beach time as well as water activities, which can be arranged through a private marina, guaranteeing exclusivity. An indoor gym with optional bootcamp is on site for fitness lovers, together with outdoor volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. There is even an 18-hole championship golf course nearby, designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Hiking trails to lakes and waterfalls are within easy reach for the more adventurous traveller. Spoiled for choice, guests can turn to the dedicated Adventure Concierge to help tailor their itinerary. Guests can also enjoy Pilates, yoga or blissful treatments at the resort’s Oasis Spa, named by Vogue as one of the top 100 in the world. “We were so honoured to be named among this incredible group of spas,” says Sandra.

As the sun sets after a dream day, the resort’s restaurants come into their own. The resort is famed for having the smallest restaurant in Los Cabos; called Zest, it uniquely offers a one-table dining space that seats up to 12 in the chef’s garden. Guests can request a personalised menu and savour the freshest Baja seafood and ingredients. For celebrations such as anniversaries and birthdays, it promises an unforgettable gathering. Elsewhere in the resort, an additional 12 dining options range from a brasserie to a cevicheria, to in-room or beachside dining. One such option is the enchanting Baja California backyard grill, Limón. Almost hidden within a secluded lemon grove, guests can enjoy open-air dining while the finest locally sourced produce is cooked using traditional Bajan methods over a charcoal grill, making for a truly memorable evening.

The 24-hour in-room dining menu means guests can order freshly cooked food at their convenience, while there is also the option for those staying in private residences with kitchens to order the ingredients and create their own fine dining experience with the help of the resort’s expert team. “You get a recipe box with everything that you’ll need to prepare it along with step-by-step instructions on how you can make it,” says Sandra. “We won’t tell your family that you had a little bit of help so you can take all the credit for yourself.” And for those who prefer to spend their time away from the kitchen, all private residences have access to the resort’s chefs who can come and conjure up a special meal.

Whatever guests opt to do, says Sandra, the majesty of the place will get into their soul. “You feel the air, the breeze, and there’s time for you to reflect. In terms of energy and surroundings, this place is pure beauty.”
