What do they offer?

NB Distillery on Scotland’s east coast is crafting standout rum using a rare John Dore high-ester double retort pot still. Under co-owner and distiller Jamie MacDonald, the team produces pure, blended, barrel-aged and spiced rums, alongside their award-winning gin and vodka. Their goal? To create distinctive rums that express a global sensibility while championing Scottish craftsmanship.

Their bespoke rum still, affectionately named Gaynor, can create a spirit in a single distillation. The main pot and two much smaller retorts work together to produce an effect similar to triple distillation. Although the NB Distillery gleams with modernity, this kind of still was first designed in the late 18th century, adding a foundation of tradition to the new venture.
